Urban Ed Academy Seeks Passionate Men of Color — Employment and Housing Guaranteed

Urban Ed Academy Seeks Passionate Men of Color — Employment and Housing Guaranteed
Posted By: Joy Jones on April 09, 2020

Urban Ed Academy is embarking on its Cohort 3 fellowship recruitment efforts in an aim to increase the number of black and brown male teachers in the San Francisco United School District.

"We believe there will be an even greater teacher shortage in the coming years after people that were headed out of the K-12 teaching profession before COVID-19 decide not to return," said Urban Ed Academy Deputy Director Daniel Rumley. "Our solution is to double-down on Man The Bay. Our children still need the representation.

"

Urban Ed Academy seeks candidates who meet the following criteria:

Black or Brown Male
Age 22 - 27 (special exceptions possible)
Undergraduate degree
Not limited to Education majors, STEM disciplines encouraged to apply

(Please let us know you learned about this opportunity on HBCU Connect)

An inherent passion for minority communities, especially children and their families
