Director of Target Programs
The Climate Action Campaign (CAC) is a highly effective, unbranded coalition of national climate, conservation, and progressive groups, state and local partners, and key allies working to protect clean air and promote action to limit climate change. The campaign regularly partners with national and state-based groups, as well as leaders from diverse communities, to promote climate action, defend against attacks on the Clean Air Act and climate change policies, and showcase the unyielding transition to clean energy driven by state, local and federal action.

Responsibilities
The Director of Target Programs supports the Senior Director of Programs with strategic guidance, management, and coordination of the campaign’s cross-departmental planning and execution of programs that ensures the campaign’s programs support our goals. This will include, but is not limited to:
• Working across departments and with regional hubs to set strategy for campaign targets and provide guidance for implementation
• Supporting the campaign’s planning process around key moments and issues, including drafting and implementing cross-departmental strategy and plans
• Overseeing testing and pilot projects/innovations for Programs team
• Informing and supporting the accountability program for targets
• Supporting the mobilization program with eye toward testing and achieving goals
• Assisting in the development and management of regular reporting with an eye toward finetuning campaign operations and adapting plans as needed
• Preparing, attending, facilitating, and tracking outputs from internal and external meetings
• Regularly meeting, communicating, and collaborating with state operations, data, partner engagement, and other program areas within the campaign to ensure efficient and effective program execution
• Helping maintain budgets developed to support the work of CAC projects and departments
• Implementing other special projects as needed

Preferred Qualifications:
• A minimum of 7 years of experience working with political or issue advocacy campaigns
• Experience of working across teams, on multiple programs, and with coalitions
• Political and data acumen to advance initiatives
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written), including strong presentation and negotiation skills
• Strong ethical standards, tact, and diplomacy skills
• Extraordinary problem-solving skills
• Exceptional attention to detail and highly organized
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment, lead projects, meet multiple concurrent deadlines, organize time, and evaluate priorities
• Ability to collaborate effectively and to work well as a member of a team
• Familiarity with the environmental movement
• Bachelor’s degree

The Director of Target Programs reports to the Climate Action Campaign’s Senior Director of Programs.

Salary
Salary range is $90,000-$110,000 and is commensurate with experience. Excellent benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, generous paid time off, and 401k plan.
